Satsuki, Mei and their father have moved to the country to be close to their ailing mother and discover that the forest around their home is inhabited by Totoros — mystical creatures whom they befriend. By one of Japan’s greatest animators, Hayao Miyazaki, My Neighbor Totoro is heartwarming and visually enchanting. Originally released in Japan in 1988, IMA will screen a 35mm print of the English dubbed version released in 1993.
