O Brother, Where Art Thou?
This whimsical, witty Coen Brothers sepia-toned classic features three convicts on a scramble through an imaginary 1930s Mississippi inspired by Homer’s Odyssey, accompanied by a big dose of blues, gospel and country tunes collected by T-Bone Burnett. O Brother stars fast-talking George Clooney, slow-witted Tim Blake Nelson and John Turturro as enterprising escapees who encounter corrupt politicians, wicked salesmen, guitar prodigies, mysterious muses and more.
Directed by Joel Coen, 2000, PG, 106 minutes.
