Kevin and I spent five glorious days in Indianapolis enjoying a taste of what this fine city has to offer. I was amazed at how clean and pretty it was. The natives are friendly and quietly proud of their fair town. The weather was between 65 and 82F and dry as a bone - such a marvelous relief from our soup of warmth and moisture. An early morning visit turned out to be the highlight of the recent Garden Writers Association conference in Indianapolis, IN. The cool persistent breeze eluded to traces of a fall morning, smells that I recognized growing up in these parts. Morning dew saturated hiking boots as I traipsed through green grass exploring the gardens. Golden sunshine made back lit magic throughout the many floral collections spread out on 152 acres.
