I Nyoman Sedana, the Butler University 2012 Christel DeHaan Visiting International Theatre Artist (VITA), presents a colorful kaleidoscope of Balinese performance traditions, including the warrior dance (the Baris), a duet dance (Oleg Tamulilingan), and a Balinese shadow puppet performance called Wayang. Performance also includes a 5-year-old singing prodigy.

Recommended for ages 6 and up. Presented by the Butler University Department of Theatre and the IMA.

BONUS: Don’t miss Bali Dream, based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a Butler Theatre mainstage production directed by Sedana as the culminating performance of his VITA residency, in early November as part of the Spirit & Place Festival.
