San Francisco-based Joe Goode Performance Group (JGPG), known for melding dance with theater, performs Wonderboy, a recent work created by artistic director Joe Goode in collaboration with puppeteer Basil Twist, with music by singer/violinist Carla Kihlstedt and pianist/drummer Matthias Bossi. Wonderboy is an unexpected tale of a peculiar superhero isolated by his gift of sensitivity. JGPG also performs 29 Effeminate Gestures, a signature 12-minute dance solo masterpiece. The performance will be audio-described by Indianapolis artist Dante Ventresca, for the hearing impaired and anyone who wants help interpreting contemporary performance art.
