Aziz + Cucher: Some People
Aziz + Cucher: Some People documents new work by the collaborative Anthony Aziz and Sammy Cucher, tackling a pressing historical subject: the ongoing and relentless violent engagement between Israel and its Arab neighbors through large-format, digitally enhanced photographs and video installations. Both artists have familial roots in the Middle East, and the project represents a powerful and unexpectedly personal response. Essays by Lisa D. Freiman, Tami Katz-Freiman, and an interview with the artists by Richard Meyer. Published by the IMA in conjunction with Hatje Cantz, Germany. Generous support provided by the Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation. Hardcover: 136 pages. Dimensions: 10 x 12".
Aziz + Cucher: Some People was on view at the Indianapolis Museum of Art from April 13, 2012 - October 21, 2012.
