Bonsai: An Exhibition of Living Art

Lilly House Lobby

The potter glazes a pot, calls it complete and displays it for all to see. The painter frames a picture, hangs it and likewise declares the masterpiece finished. The bonsai artist, on the other hand, never calls a bonsai complete as it is a living, growing piece of art. The design will evolve and change continuously through time. This exhibition includes more than 30 award-winning bonsai styled and maintained by members of the Indianapolis Bonsai Club.

Be sure to also visit the IMA Greenhouse’s Perennial Premiere during the same time to learn more and purchase bonsai.
