Teacher Talks: Sharing Lesson Ideas in the Galleries

free

Meet on 2nd Floor by the Sol LeWitt

Join us for this special in-gallery interpretive and interactive tour led by three local teachers. Gather with other educators in the galleries as Jessica Watson (preschool-eighth grade art educator), Becky Rissel (Kindergarten through fifth grade art educator), and Brenda Jalaie (high school art educator), each highlight ways that they have used the IMA with their classrooms. The interpretative tour will feature practical ideas that respond to the overarching theme of inquiry based learning. Participants will receive lesson packets with links to Common Core standards and assessment ideas ready for use in the classroom. After the gallery talk, continue with casual conversation with other educators over a complimentary cup of coffee, tea, or glass of wine. This event is eligible for 2 Professional Growth Plan points. Make a night of it, and stay for Final Friday, starting at 7pm (eligible for an additional 1 Professional Growth Plan point). More about Final Friday here.
