Planet Indy: Paul Tukey on Organic Lawns and Lawn Alternatives

Common lawn care products used in the quest for a perfect lawn can imperil our children, pets, water, air and soil. Explore the alternatives with Maine-based Paul Tukey, one of America's experts on creating beautiful landscapes without toxic products. As the founder of SafeLawns.org, an international coalition of organizations promoting environmentally friendly lawn care and resource conservation, and author of The Organic Lawn Care Manual, Tukey is also known through the popular gardening program "People Places & Plants" on HGTV. Learn about the move away from the straightjacket of the stereotypical lawn toward safer and equally beautiful alternatives. Presented by the IMA Horticultural Society with support from the Hoosier Environmental Council.
