It's Your Discretion
Art you a parent or guardian wondering if a certain film or performance is appropriate for a young person? As a museum striving to present creativity and culture in its many forms, we support access to artistic expression and every guardian's right to determine suitability of material for a child or youth. Contact the IMA Public Programs Department at 317-923-1331 with questions about any of our offerings.

Sustainable Design at the Toby
During the 2008 renovation of The Toby, the IMA committed to utilizing green design principles and products:
- 23,642 pounds of metal, carpet, foam, fabric and plastic were recycled during theater renovation. Additionally, 80 seats were donated to a local theater group.
- Retire Rubber Flooring, made from 100% recycled car tires, was used under all the theater seating.
- Retire Composite Flooring, made from 100% recycled materials including cork and tires, was used throughout the theater.
- Kirei Board, laminated board made from recycled wood, was used for the lobby trim, wall paneling and service area.
- Recyclable Shaw carpet tiles were used in the lobby, ADA seating areas, and hallways.
- Recycled glass and concrete from Santarossa Terrazzo was used for the counter tops in the lobby.
- Seats were covered in Victor theater fabric, made of 100% recycled polyester.
- The alternative seating (big red bean bags) is filled with recycled polyurethane.
- All bathroom fixtures, including toilets and urinals, are waterless or low-water use.
