David Durante – Gymnast

Dave Durante is a New Jersey native who attended Stanford University on a gymnastics scholarship. He later trained for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and had a unique Olympic experience, as he was the only alternate, out of three, that did not get to compete as part of the bronze medal winning team. After Beijing, he returned to Stanford as an assistant coach for a year where the team won their first National Championship in 14 years. After a year in Rome, he is now back in the States and has started a consulting company working with young student athletes on everything from college recruiting, to diet and conditioning plans, to mental training.

Jordan Fairley – Runner

A recent graduate from California State University, Chico, two of Jordan’s biggest passions in life have been art and running. A four year NCAA Athlete in Track and Cross Country, Jordan has competed in three Division II NCAA National Championships with a highest ranking of fifth place in 2008 for the 3000m Steeplechase. He is the president of the newly re-established Chico Track Club, a post-collegiate distance team with members trying to qualify for the USA Olympic Trials. Born and raised in Northern California, it has always been his dream to visit Europe, and Italy in particular.

Matt Greenfield – Gymnast

Matthew Greenfield graduated from Penn State University in May 2010. During his time on the varsity gymnastics team, he helped the team win the NCAA title in 2007 and the Big 10 title in 2008. He specialized on the high bar, and competed on floor, vault and rings. In the 2009-2010 season, Matthew was named the tallest gymnast in the NCAA. After graduating from Penn State, Matthew was accepted into the General Formation Program for Cirque du Soleil. For Matthew, being a performer is all about the journey, the challenges and the opportunity for new experiences to expand his horizons.

Olga Karmansky – Gymnast

Born in Moldova but currently living in Brooklyn, NY, Olga Karmansky is a former U.S. Champion and Pan American Games Champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics. She was on three U.S. World Championship Teams as well as the official alternate for the Olympic Games. She was a featured dancer on the Panic At The Disco Tour (MTV Music Video of The Year) as well as a performer and assistant choreographer on the Gymnastics Superstars Tour (USA Post-Olympic Gymnastics Tour). She loves her family, friends, and art in all its forms.

Chellsie Memmel – Gymnast

Chellsie Memmel helped the U.S. women win the team silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games, where she only competed on the uneven bars due to an injured ankle. She has won six career world medals, including three gold and three silver. At the 2005 World Championships, Chellsie became the first U.S. woman to win the all-around gold medal since Shannon Miller in 1994, as well as claimed silver on the uneven bars and balance beam. She burst into the spotlight at the 2003 Pan American Games, where she won five medals, including team and all-around gold. For her outstanding 2003 season, Chellsie was named the 2003 TOPs Co-Athlete of the Year with Carly Patterson.

Mike Moran – Gymnast

A native of Windsor, CT, Mike Moran was coached by Olympic Gold Medalist Tim Daggett and became the youngest Senior National Team member in 1995. He went on to compete at Temple University under coach Fred Turoff where he was a three-time NCAA All-American. He continued to compete for the U.S. National Team and was a member of the silver medal team at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Canada. Mike “retired” from competitive gymnastics in 2000, but has continued to use his gymnastic talents as a professional acrobat. As the founder and president of Axiom Entertainment, Mike recently performed his acrobatic acts on Donald Trump’s hit TV Show, “The Apprentice.”

Gary Morgan – Runner

A resident of Pontiac, Michigan, Gary Morgan has enjoyed a 20-year career as an award-winning race walker that includes 17 national titles, a spot at the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics 20K racewalk event and a qualifier in six separate Olympic trials. He also had the honor of carrying the Olympic Torch in 1996 and 2002. He also serves on the Athletes Advisory Council to the U.S. Olympic Committee on behalf of USA Track & Field. Gary has completed 60 marathons around the world including New York, Boston, and Antarctica, and is currently a writer for Michigan Runner.

Greg Mueller – Runner

Greg is head coach and owner of Innovative Endurance.com. Greg coaches a wide array of athletes including 4 National Champions, several top professionals and primarily everyday people doing extraordinary things. Greg was a professional triathlete for 6 years and placed 14th at the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2000. In 2010, Greg placed 10th overall at the Best of the U.S. National Championships, and 3rd in his age group at the USAT Nationals.

Lisa Mueller – Runner

Lisa is currently in her fifth year of racing triathlons and enjoy the half-ironman and ironman distances. This past season, she was the 10th overall female at the Duathlon National Championships, placed 1st overall at the Warsaw Sprint triathlon in the female division, and she qualified for the Best of the U.S. triathlon. Lisa also placed 10th overall female at Ironman Racine 70.3 where she qualified for the 2010 Foster Grant Half Ironman World Championships (12th overall female amateur). This past season, she was awarded All-American honors for USA Triathlon and Honorable Mention for USA Duathlon.

Dan O'Brien – Runner

Millions of Americans proudly watched Dan O’Brien win the 1996 Olympic Gold Medal to become the first American winner in the sport since 1976. As an Olympic Gold Medalist in the decathlon, Dan O’Brien is officially considered the “World’s Greatest Athlete,” and his name is synonymous with athletic achievement and success both on and off the field. He set a new World Record at the Deca Star Invitational in Talence, France in 1992, and went on to win the 1993 and 1995 World Championships, the 1994 Goodwill Games, and three U.S. Championships. He is also famously known from Reebok’s Dan & Dave campaign, a series of TV and print ads featuring Dan and rival Dave Johnson.

Rachel Salzman – Gymnast

Rachel Salzman was born and raised in New York City, where she trained at the School of American Ballet and at the Paul Taylor School. Rachel is a circus artist, performing her own choreography on aerial hoop, silk, and hammock. She is also a modern and contemporary ballet dancer and has worked with the Sean Curran Company, CorbinDances, Ramon Oller, Collective Body Dance Lab, and Jody Sperling/Time Lapse Dance with whom she recently created an aerial dance solo commissioned by the STREB Emerging Artist Grant Program. She is currently working toward a B.A. in anthropology at Columbia University.

Wambui Waweru – Runner

Wambui Waweru was born in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya but grew up in the village of Kikuyu. Living in the countryside with no means of transportation, she used to run to school, church, shopping center, you name it! After graduating from high school, she moved to New York City, where she discovered the New York Road Runners (NYRR) in 2008. Since joining that organization, she has completed six marathons with a personal best of 3 hours and 31 minutes. Now a U.S. citizen, Wambui still lives in New York City and plans to start running competitively in the near future.

Sadie Wilhelmi – Gymnast

Sadie Wilhelmi is a dancer and performer, hailing originally from Portland, Oregon. She is trained in a diverse range of disciplines and is a graduate of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Fordham University’s BFA program. While in attendance, she performed original/repertory choreography by Doug Varone, Pedro Ruiz, Ronald K. Brown, Pascal Rioult, Alvin Aliey, Thaddeus Davis and Jessica Lang. She has a passion for choreographing and has set works on the Jefferson Dancers as well as at the Citigroup Theater student showcase.
